Copper and Stainless Steel: The Perfect Mix for Every Kitchen Hero
The LIDL Copper series, with pots and pans for any recipe, features a high-quality 4-layer blend where copper and stainless steel take center stage. These two materials delight professional chefs and everyday heroes alike with numerous benefits, cleverly combined in our copper pots and pans.
Copper cookware for cooking and frying is an indispensable part of any professional kitchen, as it combines the best cooking properties with a unique look.
AIOptimal temperature distributionA copper pan or pot always heats up evenly, from the base to the rim. This allows ingredients to be cooked or fried to perfection. Plus, it prevents hot spots from forming.
AIExcellent heat conductionCopper cookware saves you energy and time because it heats up extra fast. Your pasta water will be ready in a flash, and you can start searing your steak in no time. Plus, you can use your stove on a lower setting.
AIQuick coolingOptimal thermal conductivity also means that copper pans and pots cool down extra fast once the heat is turned off. This not only prevents food from boiling over or burning, but it also increases safety in the kitchen.

If you were to use classic cookware made of pure copper, there would be a catch: the metal reacts with many acids and acidic foods. For example, you should never prepare a fresh tomato sauce or Coq au Vin with red wine in pure copper cookware. Doing so would release copper ions from the pan or pot, giving your food a metallic taste. Additionally, pure copper is not magnetic, making the cookware unsuitable for induction stovetops.
That's why our copper series is a step ahead: here, the stylish metal forms the outer layer, while the main body is made of stainless steel. This keeps the look traditional but takes the cooking performance to the next level:
- The heat conductivity of copper meets the high durability of stainless steel
- Robust steel protects the softer copper
- Completely food-safe, no matter the ingredients
- Suitable for all stovetops, including induction
- Oven-safe up to 475 degrees Fahrenheit

How to Care for Your Copper Pans and Pots
Do you like it shiny or prefer a natural patina? With copper cookware, the choice is yours. Over time, copper pots and pans will darken as the material oxidizes in the air. This has no effect on its cooking properties! Still prefer that pure copper look? Here are a few easy tips to make your copper favorites shine again:
AI1. Sprinkle some salt on half a lemon and gently rub the copper. Then, rinse the residue off with water and dry and polish the surface.
AI2. Alternatively, mix vinegar and salt in a 1:1 ratio to form a paste, scrub the pot or pan with it, then rinse and polish the cookware.
AI3. This also works with a paste made from baking soda or baking powder and a few drops of water.
Very important: Always hand-wash your copper pots and pans. Only use warm water, a soft sponge, and a little dish soap. The stylish coating can easily be scratched in the dishwasher.
You don't need to worry about the inside of your copper pots and pans. The high-quality stainless steel is easy to clean. Just be careful not to scratch the surface with pointed or sharp objects.
