Experiment No. 497-040: The E-Mountain Bike

In the second episode of THE EXTREME LAB, the experiment revolves around the question of whether a CRIVIT E-Mountain Bike can handle increasingly demanding riding conditions – and whether the rider can too.

At THE EXTREME LAB, performance is never taken for granted. It's scrutinized. For this experiment, the CRIVIT E-Mountain Bike was subjected to steep climbs, challenging terrain, and weather conditions that seemed determined to be part of the test. Especially for the rider.

Using a highly advanced testing procedure, our experts evaluated the bike's traction, control, and endurance under a variety of demanding conditions. Gradients were measured. Variables were monitored. Scientific jargon was used liberally.

As the experiment progressed, one observation became increasingly difficult to ignore: while the rider seemed to exert more effort with each climb, the bike remained remarkably composed.

After a comprehensive evaluation of the results, the conclusion was clear: EXPERIMENT PASSED.

The featured CRIVIT E-Mountain Bike PEAK 709 is designed for riders who love steep climbs, challenging terrain, and long days in the great outdoors on their adventures.

At the heart of the bike is a powerful Mivice X700 mid-drive motor, delivering up to 100 Nm of torque for smooth and reliable assistance when the trail gets tough. Paired with a high-capacity 709 Wh battery, the PEAK 709 is built for extended tours and long-lasting performance, allowing riders to spend more time exploring and less time worrying about range.

To ensure confidence across varied terrain, the bike combines a Shimano CUES drivetrain with 180mm hydraulic disc brakes, offering precise shifting, dependable control, and reliable stopping power in changing conditions. A robust hardtail frame and a 120mm SR Suntour suspension fork add even more comfort and stability—whether you're tackling steep ascents, navigating uneven trails, or descending on demanding terrain.

Engineered for riders seeking capability, endurance, and control in one package, the PEAK 709 is ready for any challenging outdoor adventure.
